My first understanding of race relations and history of my community came from a place of anger, for a long time that’s because the whole narrative was one of blame ever I was blaming the oppressors or blaming the oppressed which is disempowering But it’s only recently I’ve started blaming myself and my actions “the watcher” of this information because I understand now it’s what I do with the information that’s more important When you blame you become a terrorist like Shamima Bagum a terrorist is just a politician who felt powerless all those Black Lives Matter protesters tearing down statues those are terrorist too Now of course Terrorism isn’t the issue here the issue we as human beings have forgotten that we ourselves are connected to the Devine us right here in the warehouse moving boxes in the hood rolling spliffs on the street corner are one with or an expression of something bigger than what we can understand
